CUMBRIANS V SADDLERS: New fixture date

Sunderland full-back Michael Liddle has extended his loan spell with Carlisle United until 14 February 2009

The game between Carlisle United and Walsall was due for a pitch inspection at 1pm, Referee Craig Pawson took an initial look at the playing surface at 11am this morning. Most of playing surface was playable apart from the centre-circle, then at a further inspection at mid-day the decision was made to call off the game.

Dennis Booth Carlisle assistant manager has signed an 18-month deal to stay in his role at Brunton Park until summer 2010. After the departure of John Ward in November Booth stepped in as assistant to manager Greg Abbott.
